Well after Diagnosing the front end dip on 94 F150 as a broken coil tower I decied to replace it all. I order new coil towers and coil insulators from Bronco Graveyard (great shipping time very impressed). New Gabriel Max Control shocks from Auto Zone. And Moog 844 springs from Ebay. I painted the towers and surrounding frame in POR15 to combat rust as well as make it look nice. One thing I would recommend is coating the springs with POR15 because the paint on them from the factory was substandard. after the install the paint was chipping and flaking. Over all I am very impressed with the new stance and the greatly improved ride. Also I am proud of myself for getting it done in a weekend (16-17hrs between Friday and Saturday). Sadly I lost my camera so no before pics. When I find it i will post some after pics of the new stance and the old towers. I could not have done this project without all your help thanks a lot.
I put 844s (severe duty) springs in mine and found they could not adjust the camber to perfect specs ( I have a slight \ / after alignment) This is apparently due to the 844s just being slightly wider at the bottom. I'm very interested in seeing if you can get the camber adjusted perfectly with these 844 springs. I'll be getting 844 and swapping out the 844s if I can be sure they will align correctly. Let us know how you make out with the alignment
Well I had the alignment done yesterday along with new radius arm bushings and overall I would say the alignment is good but not great. I think it has more to do with the shop I went to not specializing in alinements. The mechanic didn't say anything about having trouble getting it aligned so I think I am just being picky. The truck tracks a lot straighter than before so I am happy with the results. I would say If you are thinking of putting some Moog 844 springs under your truck, go for it. The alinement should not present a problem, hope this helps.
