I did talk with the guy and he still has it might need a starter but it starts will need a drivers seat the previous owner did something to it,will need valve cover gasket. 4.0 auto 4dr. Says will need tires but again not a problem i have 4 tires from the bronco 2
Haha, that's about the same price and mileage I paid for mine, had the same leaky valve cover gasket too! Starter would be easy to replace, be aware of the ignition switch going out too and being the culprit. Mine is currently on the way out and doesn't always turn the starter when I put the key forward.
Okay Big Red has a lil brother now Lil Red got it for $800 i did offer $700 but we settled on 800 it's a good buy no rust that i can see runs great so far only used just smidge over a 1/4 of tank of fuel coming back from KC and that's going into the wind. It will need shocks,a different front drivers seat, valve cover gasket, air conditioner recharged, have to crank it about 15-20 seconds before it starts but it starts fine.
Thanks if i make it to the G2G next weekend i'll drive it down i went a out and looked to see what gear ratio was 3.55 and even with those 30's i have from the B2 i'll still get great fuel mileage.
yeah, 30s should be no problem for it, it does seem like Jeeps turn over a lot before they initially fire, it took some getting used to for me as well when I first got my XJ. 15-20 seconds seems a little extreme. Perhaps some new spark plugs, wires, and coil might wake it up a little. Others on here might have other/better suggestions.
It looks to already have new plugs in it they are shiny wires look pretty new too. Not sure on the coil tho. It might not be that long just guessingmanting on it.
