Theft

I just found out Im going to have to leave my truck in a parking lot downtown Vancouver B.C. for 24 hours?

Ive got a club but i would feel better if I knew it wouldnt start somehow.

Its a 99 7.3 so im not even sure if it has relays under the hood?

Anyone know where and what relay I can remove?

Just pull the PCM fuse... there are relays, though. It's a distribution block on the the driver's side under the hood up towards the firewall.

the #30 fuse. If/when that thing pops, its game over until replaced and unplugging of the fuel bowl heater....Also, i'd wrap a chain thru the wheel and around the axle, if possible, with a lock up under/inside...

Thing with the chain is if the dingbat figured out how to start it and didn't notice the chain, it'd tear some stuff up...

Pull the IDM and PCM relays, or all 3 large black square ones and it won't start, for sure. The thief would have to have 2 of them to start it. You could also pull those fuses to make doubly sure.
Distribution box was moved in '02.

That's the relays I pull when she sits at my place near the border...the trunk monkey will work, but not efficiently in cold weather.

glad you liked it.
to bad we cant get one.
i like all the ideas but i know several tow guys that could walk off with the truck and never open the door.
so if you can park on gravel so the go-jacks cant roll, pull where the tow truck can not get in-line with it to hook up.
this will help some.

The diehard criminals will always find a way around things. You can't be prepared for every scenario. But, you don't want to make things easy for them either.

If I had to leave my truck where I was concerned from the beginning that it was a theft target, I'd find a garage which would rent me a space for the 24 hours inside.

do a 4-link, bag it and airbag the front suspension, so when you leave it unattended, dump the air, so the trucks' lay'n on frame...no need to worry then...
