Went looking....according to the web site they have 5 full size Broncos. Get there and there is one that has been there for months and then I spot one not on their computer.
It is a '95 XL....no instrument cluster bezel....darn. But....it has a decent tailgate on it. Mine has a corner of rust at the lower drivers side and a fair dent from someone hitting the spare tire. This one has a small bit of rust on the back side of the lower seam which is a easy fix and no dents. I just have to transfer the EB trim piece which should be easy. Glass is broken...no problem...use mine.
Then.....thinking ahead.....I have plans to do a top kinda like a certain zebra stripped on on here. I don't want to cut my top just in case I want a solid one sssooooo.......I grab the top too.
Abused my grandson in getting things off and loaded on my trailer but we got them.
Tailgate...$75.00
Top...$98.00
Both with military discount. Now the other nice thing,.....they are the same green as my '93 so the tailgate will look perfect.....and the top will be modded so who knows what it will end up in color.
sounds good, and what are grandsons for if not for workin??
I remeber my grandfather usin me to help work on his dodges (gross), god rest his soul, however I do have to amit that old power wagon could do some work.
Dang thats a good deal, round here the kids running the junkyard counter would probably charge me 1k for the top or something... Hell they charged me 20 for a hood latch and an idler pulley wheel and bolt from a chevy van... I didn't have time to sit and try to bicker with them so i bought it and left...
My brothers roomates dad runs our local yard, we don't get any discounts... My pockets are usually stuffed with my hidden tools and small parts i can fit in there.
