Hey guys! So yesterday while I was crawling around under my truck just checking things I noticed some oil on my starter, I followed the trail back up and it stops right around the freeze plug on the passenger side. I checked the valley and its dry as a bone and the the UVCH on the passenger side is also dry, I thought I heard somewhere that there is a some plugs on the back side of the motor that can leak oil? Maybe Im wrong but if there is could someone enlighten me on them please. Thanks cody
Well Guys I checked those plugs and that's not where the leak is coming from, looks like I'll be spending part of my Saturday searching for the leak! Add a couple cold ones in there an that's a good Saturday in my opinion!
Interested on your findings. My dad gets a small spot on the driveway when it sits a long time. A few drops. Looks like the oil is on the starter as well and drips come from it. I searched high an low. I always figured it must be the valve cover gasket dripping.
I was under my newly purchased 2001 SD doing a transmission flush and I noticed oil leaking on the passenger side as well. Looks like I'll be doing more looking .
