Mechanical Temp Guages
Hi
The temp gauge on my 89 F-150 XLT Lariet also does not work.
I have done the test of grounding out the sending unit and the guage stayed flat.
Have people actually used these cheap mech temp guages (autopro) from autopalace? Do the sensor plugs that come with these guages actually screw into the same spot where the stock sending unit is on the truck?
Is this a better way to go than pulling the cluster and replacing the guage?
Should I try a new sending even though the test proved it is probably the guage or the wiring?

I just bought this gauge set off of the internet. It is regular 65 dollars, they had it from the manufacturer for 16.

I ordered the mini guages listed on the site for 9.99
We shall see what all comes with the kit.
I also bought the MAF tester. Figure at the price they were selling it, why not?
Sunpro stuff is of better quality than Equus (another cheapo brand), so this seems like a good deal. Especially right from the company, itself.
