What year is the truck? I don't know if they vary in sizes for differing years but it might help

Well try getting some pictures first to show your work like a good student and pictures of problem areas for future reference. Who needs a spring compressor just hook a chain on it and to the back of another vehicle and tell them to drive away problem solved. Good Luck!

Finally done coil springs all of 45 minutes to replace...raised front end about 1.5"s had to install a pair if airshocks in the rear to raise the *** back up.... it was that or 2" blocks! Btw the official aswer to the original question is a 1-1/8" nut for the coil spring. Suspension is officially done. Next up rear brakes including hard lines....

Good to hear you got it done. As you prolly know you don't need spring compressors on these trucks.

Thats good to know fro when i do suspension on my pig. I will probably do 4" lift springs and blocks with possible Bilstein shocks or something... Those are expensive so i may go with cheaper ones.

Yeah while it was torn down i was looking around. I think i the future i may switch the frame coil/shock mounts out and change to the dual shock towers i noticed even though i have single tops the stud for the lower shock mount is in place.. must be on all/ some models even w/o the dual shock frame mounts. Gonna look through the forum now. What is the benefits of using the explorer fuel injectors? Is it a straight replacement

I have the quad shock system on my 78, and it was pretty stiff. I took the 2 radius arm ones off but i still have the mounts on there incase i put new ones in.
