Stanley,

In your case that is a big change and for the better.

I would still keep the 5K oil intervals to keep wear down on the valve train but looking good.

What is the reason one would get a oil report? What does it cost?

Cost about $27 It tells you how your engine is wearing and alerts you to a possible problem down the road.

For $25 a blackstone oil anaylisis will tell you a lot about your truck engine. Based on the contents of the oil they can tell how the internal parts are wearing, if there is anti freeze in the oil, diesel in the oil and in the case of the 6.4L the most important one the level of oil dilution. Based on the reports, you can make an informed decision on miles between changes, use of brand fuel or fuel additives, use of bio diesel and the big one, wheather you would be better off deleting the DPF.

Y'all need not worry, I will stay on the 5000 mile change cycle. Oil's cheap, turbo diesel engines aren't.

Looks good bro! I deleted at 5K miles so I don't have any OA's to compare to.

While talking oil....

I picked up 6 oil changes for $90.

Thoughts on changing oil at 2500 mile intervals and filters at 5k intervals?

My sever duty scheduled maintenance is covered by ford. So I'm considering using these coupons to do some evaluations on the truck.

I found the coupons and they didn't have he clause "Up to 5 quarts, Diesel vehicles extra" so I couldn't pass them up.

I'm not going to use the generic filters I'm sure they'd try to use. Just for new oil.

Looks good Stanley, welcome to the dark side and I'm glad that tuning had the effect you were looking for

On a side note as Tom pointed out I'm glad you opted for the notebook paper and didn't grab the whiteout, haha

On the notebook paper, i'm on the road in Ft myers Fl (84 degrees today, eat your heart out) and all I have is a laptop. I just couldn't find a way to redact the info. I could get it redacted by converting to Word, but the web site would not down load the .DOC file and I couldn't find a way to convert the file. I finally said the heck with it and took a pic to get a jpeg file.

RM2738, your oil change coupons may not say diesels excluded but I bet they are. I don't think anyone is gonna put oil in your truck for $1 a quart. I know I wouldn't, you would just have to sue me. As to 2500 mile changes, I guess it's like chicken soup, can't hurt but I don't think you would change anything since you're deleted. I do think those who have the DPF on and are diluting their oil should consider radical oil programs if they plan on keeping the truck past 100,000 miles or so. But, all I know is what I read from Blackstone.

Sounds Great but it leads to questions for a new owner. How do you go about getting a report? What are the procedures to follow? I am sure there is a forum that discussed the issue, I just have not look at all the forums yet.
