Had to break these up to redact my personal info but here is my first blackstone report since deleting. They had no idea I had done anything different. I'm just sitting here grinnin.
For $25 a blackstone oil anaylisis will tell you a lot about your truck engine. Based on the contents of the oil they can tell how the internal parts are wearing, if there is anti freeze in the oil, diesel in the oil and in the case of the 6.4L the most important one the level of oil dilution. Based on the reports, you can make an informed decision on miles between changes, use of brand fuel or fuel additives, use of bio diesel and the big one, wheather you would be better off deleting the DPF.
On the notebook paper, i'm on the road in Ft myers Fl (84 degrees today, eat your heart out) and all I have is a laptop. I just couldn't find a way to redact the info. I could get it redacted by converting to Word, but the web site would not down load the .DOC file and I couldn't find a way to convert the file. I finally said the heck with it and took a pic to get a jpeg file.
RM2738, your oil change coupons may not say diesels excluded but I bet they are. I don't think anyone is gonna put oil in your truck for $1 a quart. I know I wouldn't, you would just have to sue me. As to 2500 mile changes, I guess it's like chicken soup, can't hurt but I don't think you would change anything since you're deleted. I do think those who have the DPF on and are diluting their oil should consider radical oil programs if they plan on keeping the truck past 100,000 miles or so. But, all I know is what I read from Blackstone.
Sounds Great but it leads to questions for a new owner. How do you go about getting a report? What are the procedures to follow? I am sure there is a forum that discussed the issue, I just have not look at all the forums yet.
