Hey, I didn't mean it in a bad way! It's a nice smooth transition. I'm thinking about going 5" also. Strictly for fuel economy.

I had a muffler shop build a 3" down pipe that was turned back to straight under cab floor. Installed a 3" to 4" adapter. Ran straight pipe from summit back to 4" magna flow. Out of the muffler I ran this pipe over the axle http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?A=EXH54387_0239967017&An=59 9001+101989+50028+2028028+4028048+5999999+25006&Ar =AND%28P_RecType%3aA%29. Muffler really isn't needed with a turbo. I was told that the turbo is legally consider a muffler.

Depends on the state and then how the guy doing the inspection decides to interpret what's on the books. My state says there must be a muffler OR a noise reducing device in continuous operation. They also will not accept a turbo as a noise reducing device.

Been round and round with them on that interpretation. One lady at the Highway Patrol even told me "well noise reducing mean muffler". I must have looked dumbfounded, shook my head and walked out.
