














Ignition box recommendation
That said, I've read around the past posts and still can't decipher what type of ignition box I should go with. I searched Summit racing for the MSD 6A unit, which I'm not even sure I need, but couldn't find it. I'm ready to do a tune up (distributor cap, wires/plugs/fluid drain&fill/air filter - K&N drop in) and the thought hit me (after reading here) to change out the ignition module for higher spark. It is also my hope to fall on the other side of my current 9MPG! I figured on 13mpg given a sensible foot. She runs good, but there is a little 'miss' every now and again. You can hear it up under the hood, but you hear it a little better at the exhaust. My thought is that after the tune up, I should hopefully see a slight increase in mpg, especially after the filter/plugs/wire/exhaust combo.
Any real world applications on what you'd go with as far as the ignition box? MSD, CRANE, MALLORY, JACOBS????
