highly technical volare ifs question

Now that I finally have a pair of torsion bars to put back on my 56, I'm preparing for the install. I'm thinking of trying something but wanted to run it by you guys ( and/ or gals) first. The ends of the bars have a hex shape that fits into a hex shaped socket where the adjustment is done.

I'm thinking about turning the bars one "flat" in the direction that would raise the front of the truck.I don't believe that would put any more pressure on the bar, but would obviously raise the ride height.I might need longer shocks.I need an alignment anyway because I have had the top control arms unbolted from the crossmember. What do you'all think? You here , Tacson?
And I know that there are some who say you can't go too low, but this truck is my daily driver , so let's not have that conversation.Thanks.

I don't think you can actually clock it one more flat. Remember, you have the adjuster on one end and the lower arm on the other.

You're right. I tried it this evening. It ain't gonna happen. At least not with a floor jack and the weight of the truck working together. I reinstalled the bars on my truck as they were. I got them on but did not take the truck down off the blocks yet.The left front tire has leaked down. I will pump up the tire and see what the ride height looks like with the "new" bars tomorrow evening.

I inflated the tires and set the truck off the blocks. At first it was too low and almost on the bump stops. After I cranked the adjustment bolts in some more, actually a little more on the passenger side than the drivers side, it looks pretty good. I have some travel before it will hit the stops.
Now I can continue with the engine swap that I was doing when I discovered the broken sway bar. Then I can see how it rides.
