I have a 94' BB - has anyone installed an aftermarket or other model (ex. expedition, explorer, excursion) dome light in their bronco, I would like one that had adjustable lights, i.e fish eyes - I am not looking for a new console, very happy with mine, just an updated dome light, so passengers in back could read or have a light to see by?
I upgraded the interior light in my 1991 Bronco to a 1997 - 2001 F-150 interior light and it works great. It is at least 5 times brighter and there was no wiring just screw it in.
That type of dome light was used in F-series as early as '93, but I haven't found ANY pattern to it. Some '96s still had the old chrome ones. Those map lights only point to the front seats, but they're still nice lights, and can be had in a variety of colors. I have a pile of them.
For a flexible light, check JCWhitney, AWDirect, or your local Jaguar or Land Rover parts department. They have a high-intensity directional goose-neck light that plugs into a cigar lighter socket, but it could be easily hard-wired and permanently mounted.
