But at least they have a Cabelas now! (Or is that Springfield?)
We have to count our blessings here in Corvallis, they even let us have a run-down K-Mart... and a Big 5 that has a store closing sale every other month.
Do not ever insult Cabelas (or Springfield for that matter), they may be spendy, but they do not deserve a bad rep............they are in Springfield! (not that other place.........sorry my keyboard is refusing to spell the name)
Even with my taste for Soviet weapons,...............You can wrap that M1A up, and send it to my house!
Unfortunatley that particular one wasn't mine, (mines pertier), it belonged to the government when I was still a sniper and a member of the MTU/National competition team. It was an M14 converted with a Douglas super match barrel, trigger, NMC 1/8 moa sights and mounts for a "special purpose" scope or an AN/PVS 6 NV scope. They also issued a special gun vault that had to be bolted to the studs in the house before I could bring it home. Had to give it back a few years ago when I retired from doing all that stuff. Free BB's dried up too.
Good Morning,
Sorry for the late introduction as I am still poking around the different forums.
My name is John, I have a 1977 Ford f150 Super-cab 2wd. It was my grandfathers truck and it is an import (Canada). It has been in my family for a long time, on its second motor now and soon to be a third. This is mainly a hunting/camping/towing vehicle for myself. I have taken it all over the state from diamond lake to french glen to prairie city etc.
Its nice to meet you all, and I hope to contribute regularly.
Welcome nice to see someone post up, it's a good idea to have the Main Oregon Chapter and the BS thread bookmarked. Nice truck, hope to see you in the BS section.
I love Diamond lake, its a great drive as well. Waldo lake is great too, if you dont mind being carried around by mosquito's....
Used to just about live at Diamond Lake. Waldo is a pretty big lake with some hefty boating restrictions, although I see some work being done on that. Odell is great if you like Kokes and Lake Trout. Dave can probably give you the names of every fish in the lakes and their genealogy.
Used to do both on a regular basis. Since we moved back home from Winchester and my wifes health took a turn, we concentrate on Diamond Lake vactions and one or two two day trips. Spend a lot of two dayers up at Detroit just cause its so close. And of course there is the Salmon and Halibut out of Newport.
