My Excursion suspension upgrades with help from CT Performance

Those are them! But as you already know from reading the posts, the top block and overload are removed because they will hit the rear AC lines on the X.
[zQUOTE=timf150;12739410]Here is a picture of what a b-code spring looks like with the top overload spring.
Is this what yours looks like?

That's exactly what they look like, thanks for posting the pic! Sorry, been a while since I went through all the swap info, should have gone back and re-read first.

The pic you have behind the spring pack is a picture Of the modified "B". If you are using RAS don't mod the "B" springs, your *** end will be extremely high. Unless you are adding hangers to the front with your "V" s. Good luck!

I think that's where I got confused. Stewart told me to not modify the B's so when I saw these with the blocks and overloads, they didn't look right to just slap on there. I'm going to go back and read the thread, but assuming I just pull the blocks and overloads off and then cut the through bolt down. I know I'll need longer u-bolts and have a shop scoped out close by that can do that for me while I wait.
Firehawk, do you remember the two gauges for the spring gaps that came with your RAS? And if so, do you remember if you used the thicker gauge (stronger spring tension) or the thinner one?

And yes you need to pull the block and top overload spring off that b-code pack in order to make is work with your X.

Nicely done Bart! I know the frustration and hours spent trying to decide on tire and rims. But your time and efforts finally paid off , looks great man

well I ordered the parts from Cary and finally got some free time. It sucked but spent better part of the day but got the front completed. Now I am going to tackle the rear. Man my springs were wore out. After i removed the old springs and tried to put the new springs on they wouldn't fit. I had to jack up the EX another 4.5 inches. Good thing that was it.... my stands were extended far is I felt safe doing. I will take some pictures after i and completed.

Last question before spring swap this weekend
Last ?…..hs anyone found a need to replace those nylon spacers that are between the individual leafs? Or are they in good solid shape and not really deteriorated.
truck has about 120….could imagine little nylon spacers disintegrating when I get them apart…or they could be fine.
anyone suggest getting these….or No?
if so what’s the part?
thanks all…will post pics!
