need help with fuel lines, PLEASE!!

need help with fuel lines, PLEASE!!

tried to remove the fuel lines from the front tank on my 95 f 350 dually 4x4. took off the little metal clamps that hold the lines together or atleast i thought that what they did. lines will not come off sending unit. do i need a special tool to remove them? really frustrated at this point

Yes there is a another tool you need to insert into the keeper on the line the tool is available at most auto part store.

thanks i went to a garage down the street and borrowed one guess thats on the tool list lol.

well went to parts store and bought the special tool. still cant get lines off back of motor. anyone have any tricks to get them off?

i always have a hard time with those things. i usually just end up fighting with it and using some brute force until the fuel lines separate.

Insert tool to release spring lock, twist and pull really hard.

i bought the 3/8" fuel line tool maybe i got the wrong one. guess ill have to wait till monday and borrow the guys down the street. tried to get the fuel filter out of line too and it was badly rusted. couldnt get it off either

I had to use this style set to get the line off my engine.

Performance Tool W83148 - Disconnect Tool | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Check them out they are the only style that i have found to really work on the motor

Usually two different sizes for supply and return.

that makes sense looked like it was too small for the line. oh well mark it up to experience and move on. it did seem to fit fuel filter line but i will get a kit with several sizes.

Only "trick" I know of is push the connection together before inserting tool, then pull.. If you pull first it just binds the connection so the tool won't go in right if at all..

Is this is clear as mud?
