Im goin to attempt to change door pins in my 93 f150 I was told to just grind them off on the middle pound them out and pound new ones in? Is this true I use my truck everyday I gotta have doors lol
you are cutting right in the center lengh of the pin so one half will go up and the other half will go down. i think that's how i remember. i pounded one half out and then inserted the new bushing and pin half way, then i punded the other half out and finish installing the pins.
The cut in half and replace half the pin at a time is a great suggestion but correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the brass bushings what really wear out and need to be replaced?
They could also be replaced with the same sequence.

yes the bushing is what wears out normally. If i remember, if they are stock pins you can't get them out by sliding them out, so you have to cut the pins to replace the bushings. if you have already have pins that can be taken out then yes you can change just the bushings.
