Apcm problem

Apcm problem
1999 7.3 f-350 has a apcm. the connector to the module is a six pin but only four are being used. I have 12 volt power to the plug between the black and pink/tan wire but the module is still dead. No backlighting led or anything. Any advise?

The power should be Red/Yellow and ground is Black.
Tan/Orange and Pink/Light Blue is the SCP buss.
Check fuse #19 in the fuse box under the steering wheel.
Edit: Also make sure you're testing for power with the key on.

I've got twelve volts all the way to the plug end that plugs into the apcm. I was wondering if maybe the pigtail was wired wronge. Asking where the power pins should be located on the module. My module only has a six pin plug, four being used. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

You said you had power between the black and the pink/tan. The pink/tan is one of the signal wires so I'm not surprised it has power on it. However that won't power the device. You need power between the black and the red/yellow. If you don't have power between those, you need to find out why.

What I have at the plug in to the module is one white, one black, one red with blue stripe, and one tan with red stripe wire. The tan and red wire is faded so it maybe some other color. At anyrate, I have twelve volts between the black and tan with red stripe. When the key is off the voltage is zero when the key is on it's twelve. Sorry for any confusion. I do appriciate the help.
