Installed some new stuff - pics!

Well...nothin' fancy, but I finally got around to installing some Xmas gifts on my truck Enjoy!

Sorry my truck is filthy... Michigan winters have no mercy.

Maglite mount... Most crew-cab guys seem to mount this on the pillar behind the driver seat, but I got a super-cab. I decided to put it on the inside of the half-door. I like it:

I also put on my new Bilstein 5100 shocks. These things are awesome! The truck rides firm and tight and feels very solid when turning too. I love 'em so far:

I got a black powdercoated locking fuel door. I think it looks good with my black/smoked theme I got goin' on:

And I got some Husky floor mats. I wanna get the center hump piece and the piece for the back seat too. Right now I just have the two front pieces. So far these things are awesome:

Looks good!!!!! How tight is the flashlight holder. Will it fly out if the door is slammed? I just put my 5100's on too that I got for Christmas and I like them as well.

Thanks! The mounts are pretty tight on the flashlight, you gotta push it in there pretty good. It's been solid so far, no issues yet.

Well, it's a good looking truck. So you're happy with the mats? I had the sand carpet with mats and couldn't keep the carpet clean. I didn't try any decent rubber mat though like yours. I just went straight to full rubber floors. Funny seeing all the snow up there and I just mowed the grass today in shorts and a wife beater! My in laws are fixing to come down from Idaho for a week and can't believe we are pulling the camper down to the beach for 4 days so they can catch some sun! HAHA.

Nice accessories, I've been wanting to install a locking fuel door like the one you have. How's the fit? Was the install easy, and does it function good?

Thanks.

Yea its rather chilly here in mid-Michigan lol I'm ready for spring already.

Yes I'm very happy with the mats. I like that they curve up on the sides a bit to catch all the crap. They also extend up under the pedals and under the seat so they cover quite a bit of carpet. Very pleased so far.

The install was pretty straight forward and the fit is good, but I had to tweak it a bit. There is a bracket that attaches to the truck on the right side with big screws. The fuel door frame bolts to that. I had to drill out the holes in the bracket to give me some slop so I could position the unit for a better fit. It wasn't too bad. The total install took me about 20 minutes start to finish. It works perfect.

I do like the flashlight mount and since I am also a super cab guy I am very interested. But my concern is the life of the bulb it the flashlight for the door shutting all the time. My ext cab doors have to be slammed or they squeak.

Woody for the double post, but what year is your truck? I sure wish I had the door pockets in the ext cab doors.

Looks good Drey! Looks like the SC guys have another option for the maglite mount now. Particulalry since you gave it a try and can report back if any issues pop up.

As for the bulb life -- an LED bulb would do the trick for that. It would hold up alot better to rattling and such compared to a normal bulb.

Reps!

Firefighter 1406 - My truck is a 2004. Yeah I don't have to slam my half doors in fact I don't use my back seat very often.... people rarely sit back there. So those doors don't see much use. It works for me.... time will tell how it holds up.

1975StroppeBaja - Thanks! Yeah I'll update if any issues come up.

I'm almost inclined to get one of those fuel lid covers. My truck is the same color and although I typically like a "clean" and plain look I must say I like that.

Hey, I got the same fuel door you got on my Ex. Easy to install. Only issue I have is I have to leave the keys on the lock while fueling up. Key doesn't come out in the unlock position.
