Last year i put a 351 bored 30 over in my 93 f150. the engine came out of a 92 ford van. the f150 originally had a 302 but i lifted it and wanted more power. The problem with it is that it goes through spark plugs after a few starts. The spark plugs are covered in black carbo soot im assuming. I replaced the injectors, cap and rotor, anything that i could think of.
Anyone have any ideas of whats wrong?
I re-read it, you're running a .030 over 351 on a stock 5.0 computer? That's no bueno, not gonna be 100%. Also your old motor probably had non-ho old 302 firing order, and your new one is 5.0HO/351 firing order. Are your plug wires in the right order?
i replaced the computer. i got one for a 351 and i used the firing order from the old engine. it doesnt act like it is missing, it acts a little doggy when its cold but other than that it doesnt run bad

The 302 and the 351 has different firing orders. The HO 302 has the 351 order IIRC.
