LMCtruck already offers a headlight kit that allows u to run H4 bulbs. I have a buddy with this kit in his 70 and put in a 6k hid kit. Its so bright its un real. When he installed them he took a pick of the factory light in and his new light and the 6k hid completely overpowers the factory light.

I see what your saying but the jeeps headlamp is so rounded up front its surreal, and if you find the OE ones you know you will have a good product that was meant to last for a long time.

Remember, OEM buys from the cheapest supplier! I've seen more newer vehicles with burnt out lights then ever. Cheap bulbs. How about the ones you see with the whole headlight assembly flopping up/down as they drive? Poor mounting design.

The issue with the new stuff is they way they mount is usually completely different then our old stuff. Especially the aiming screw locations. Not saying it can't be done though.

would love to try this, but not for $200+. with that said...my local pick-n-pull lists "single headlight assembly" for EIGHT DOLLARS.

well heres the thing. with our trucks all you have to do is remove the jeeps mounting hardware and then just use our retaining ring to hold the assembly in place. and on Rock auto they are $45 dollars a piece.

trick with bulbs is you can't touch them , oil from your fingers boil and crack bulb . wear latex gloves or install with paper towel .

Ok i just got my buddy to show me how bright his lights are. He owns a 2008 wrangler blah blah blah edition. LOL. Well anyways. Those things have to be the brightest "factory" lights iv seen. They have an amazing light span across the road and are extreamly clear. So please post how well this works. I would love to hear that its a go.

Cuz we don't have to go off-brand and junkify our rigs to make 'em function well.

Bowties are another matter.

Let me correct the info, I did some more looking into it and it looks like its 2007+ Jeep Wranglers. I'm sure the old models would still work as long as the lamp is the same size
