Any one know how to take the instrument cluster to replace the check engine light?

You'll need to remove the main headlight switch, and the dash trim panel the covers the cluster. Once that's done there are four 8mm bolts holding the cluster to the dashboard frame and three electrical connectors then its free to pop right out.

Try this link from a short while ago: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ash-light.html

Might be helpful!

No worries man------we were all once first timers here! Maybe some of us spend too much time here, too easily recalling so many posts? Honestly anything of interest to us personally seems to be close at hand in the memory bank, able to quickly search back through previous posts and post a link.

If you have the cluster out replace all the lamps----it's cheap enough and why not since it's a good idea to do it and get the peace of mind.

Glad that helped and welcome to FTE's forums!
