Hey, I have a 63 unibody that I've done and axle flip in the rear and put a 3" dropped axle in the front. With a 460 sitting on it's mounts I still need an inch lower in the front.. Any suggestions of my best bet? Just taking a leaf or 2 out and see it it sags enough, or getting a set of dropped springs?
You might be able to find a shop that specializes in leaf springs and get the top spring with the eyes flipped it should lower the front end about 2inches
they sell a mono leaf spring for the front. or you can reverse the eye on your leaf springs and have a spring shop de-arch them a inch or so, just a few ways to gain a couple of inches.
Thanks guys, I popped by the spring shop here a while back, but the guy didnt really seem too into helping out.. but maybe I'll try him again. Any link for the mono? I'll try gogle and see if I can find it too. thanks again
Yea the mono springs would drop me another 3" .. that would be too much. I dont know how I feel about the looks of them anyway, sitting a BB on those wouldnt ease my mind rolling down our bumpy roads up here. I'll look for the reversed eye and see what I can find.
