I've got a 74 highboy manual steering four speed and a worn out 360 don't know what I want to do with it exactly need some ideas!

Was thinkin more of a diesel power plant when I can afford it five speed would be nice need power steering too ha

12v cummins would be good. or a 4bt cummins which is a four cylinder. I know there is a 6bt but I don't know much about diesels.

Cummins are tough but pretty expensive thinkin maybe a old IDI or powerstroke swap any info on doin that swap would be appriciated

I'm sure I'll figure somethin out. Anything bout difficulties of swapping to power steering? I've read a lil but I can get a 2wd box from a 72 3/4

Going to power steering will be tough because the system setup for your truck is pricey and hard to find. I would use a 78/79 box and try to get the steering linkage right. But I'm not totally how to go about it. I do know you won't want to use a 72 box.

Also wondering bout usin other boxes I can get my hands on a front axle assembly and box and all from a 99 cummins wondering if that'd work at all
