ABS light now on
Proud owner of a 99 Wrangler and 88 Harley, wife has a 03 Tahoe..... I know, all I've ever owned before is 76-79 Jeeps and 78-79 F- 1/250's, easy to work on. Starting to company up with my brother(owns a landscape/nursery, I do concrete). Well back to plowing this year(5yrs off). Good news is he owns ALL FORDS =). So here goes.
2003 F550 with the V10. He just bought with 27K miles approximate. Not run until 1st snow(60 miles west Chicago). Power problems and fuse #45 blowing, and then I found a thread on YOUR site. THANK YOU. I removed the SteerStem covers and fixed the OD wire that rubs the shift shaft as it had wore through a pinch(truck musta been a plow truck mainly before purchase). Problem fixed.
However the ABS light is on now, and I "don't believe it was before". I've barely drove the truck. I've "wiggled" the plug at the rear diff, but not disconnected and dielectricted it yet. Got a fuse #?
I can get it plugged in by the guy who "didn't fix the problem" for free(my brother's friend) and read the codes, but just checking to see if anybody has some ideas(before making the drive).
Trucks battery was disconnected for charging as I fixed wire and replaced #45 fuse, about 1.5 hours total charge/disconnect.
Thanks for any help......
