Anyone have a dimension for the frame width on your '79 F150 4x4 at the point where the front axle sits? I'm starting a long drawn out process of replacing the twin I-beam front in an old '79 F350 Cab & Chassis with a King Pin Dana 60.
Since it has coils already I want to look at using the F150 radius arm style setup and just adapt it to the 60. Bronco graveyard says that it's a common swap to upgrade the 150s to a D60. He even has the weld on C-brackets that can be machined to fit the larger axle tube.
Don't need a lot of flex or anything for serious off roading, just don't want to get stuck off in the woods loaded with 2 or 3 tons of firewood.
There's some steepazz hills in my neck of the woods!
79s are similar. 'Looks like around 32.8... IIRC, they're the same 2WD or 4WD and by series. Your wheel base will dictate where it needs to be located. Print it off an use the provided graphic scale.

Thanks partner!....just what I was looking for.
This project is kinda out of the norm for restoration of these old trucks but I need a one ton cab & chassis with a dump bed AND 4wd and I want it to be a '79. Should be getting my 2 post lift delivered tomorow.....will make it a lot easier on an old man!
