Pre and post 1999

Okay, so I was just about to pull the trigger on this leveling kit: 2-1/2" Leveling Kit
when I noticed in the notes that it said "Will not fit vehicles built before March of 1999." Mine, of course, was built before that date.

So after spending a couple hours looking around the site, I am still unclear- What are the differences between pre and post 99 trucks? Why won't the Zone kit work?

Basically, early 99 trucks had a different suspension. I will try to get a list of things.

Tracbar bracket and pitman arm
Square UBolts

Thats all I could find. Maybe someone with an e99 will know.

The ubolts look okay wih that kit. The only problem I see is the track bar. The early 99 has a smaller bolt hole in it at the bar ends and I also think that the bar itself on the early 99 is a smaller diameter. I would think if you got a late 99 bracket you should be able to make it work I think. Cause if you stay with the e99 track bar it will tug the axle to one side of the vehicle more then the other, if you install the lift. That is what happened on my truck when I installed my shackle kit. It is about 1/2" farther to the drivers side, I want to get a adjustable track bar just haven't done it yet. Very nice looking kit, let us know how it works out for ya. Hope I gave you some good info.
