Lug nuts for aluminum wheels

I bought a set of aluminum wheels for my '82 F150 today and I wonder what lug nuts I have to buy. I know they are different from the lug nut for steel wheels, but how can I see the difference?
I visited AutoZone and they don't know which ones I need. If I look at Amazon.com, it's to many and they all looks the same to me.
Please help me find right ones.

Thank you!

Go by your local tire and wheel shop. They can tell you and probably sell them.

Depends on the rim. Gotta get the rim specs on here and we can help you more. I know the lugs for my mag rims on the rear axle of my f250 were discontinued and I needed to spend an arm and a leg to get a full 16 set.

My order says I got the 91187's and they work perfectly with my polished aluminum bullet hole wheels - as shown in my sig.

Those are exactly the same wheels I have. And, there is no need for extra long lug nuts. The center caps come off with three screws, and I recommend doing that when removing or installing the wheels as it is close fit between the socket and the center cap. But, with the center cap removed it is duck soup.

Ah, Duck Soup....

But back to your topic... I'm sure Gary is right.

and don't forget to re-tighten them lugs after a few hundred miles. my dad can seem to grasp this concept and had one go bouncing down the road without him a few months ago...

Oh yes - use anti-seize on the tapered part where the lug hits the wheel. Otherwise there will be bits of the aluminum wheel sticking to the lug.

I always use anti-seize, and hand tighten, then use a torque wrench to 100 ft.lbs.
