Wait Time from Order to Delivery?

What seems to be a reasonable time to wait from ordering to delivery. I went in today, but my order wont be submitted till Monday. I just wanna know if its gonna be six weeks, eight weeks, or twelve weeks.

I was told by me dealer on Friday that it would be 6-8 weeks but from what I read here and in other forums it seems like most wait at least 8 weeks if not a little more.

I was also told 6-8 weeks, but that is only a rough guideline. The final wait will depend on many factors: your dealers allocation, part delays, truck configuration, holidays, and probably a ton of other things, who really knows.
I placed my order on 10/15, and it was submitted to Ford on 10/18 (I know that date for sure as I have the DORA, and status updates). To date (1/14) that is 13 weeks precisely since placing the order, and 12 weeks and 4 days since Ford accepted it. And I still don't have the truck. It was built on Monday this week (1/9). The ETA is 1/29, so my wait will be a total of 15 weeks and 2 days assuming no further delay.

To some extend, I am happy about the delay. I mean, if it would have been 8 weeks or less, I would have gotten December incentives, which were $2,000 less than what I get now. And I really don't need the truck (TT towing) until May. But if you are not patient, it can be a pain ....

BTW, you can get reliable updates by calling Ford or using Ford's online chat. You'll need the VIN number, and if that has not been generated yet, you can use the dealer code and order number. Both are listed on the DORA ("dealer order receipt acceptance"). The dealer should have that a day or two after the order was placed. Make sure to ask for a copy, and go through every item on there to confirm everything is exactly as you wanted it (options, packages, colors, etc ...).

Good luck, and be patient!

I doubt anything has been generated yet on mine. Its all still on a piece of notebook paper till Monday morning when "that guy" comes back in. I hoping by mid March or April there is a new set of incentives coming in.

BTW, its an XLT with Ecoboost HD Payload, Max Tow in Dark Blue Pearl.

I ordered my F150 Platinum 4x4 with Ecoboost the week after Christmas and was told about 4 to 6 weeks or possibly sooner due to dealer allocation status. I have not heard any updates yet but after reading above it sounds like I should not expect it that quick.

The dealer usually tells you 6-8 weeks. It usually takes longer but not always. Mine took 34 days.

Mine is not in their system either. Do they transport all Ford vehicles?

Not sure, but probably not. Just thought they might be doing his due to his statement that his truck was 20 miles from him. Sounded just like my wait when it was sitting at the railyard for about a week.

allied is the other big carrier around here, and its possible that truck came in friday or sat. In any event I will call salesmen monday am and see if he can track it down. I should not be in a hurry as I still love my 06 f150, but new truck does have 3.73 and ecoboost!
