Can't believe some things I read

I love this site for information. I think it is funny that people are bashed for 2wd trucks, 4 wd trucks or 1/2 ton vs. 3/4 ton vs.1 ton. Look drive what you want. I live in Wisconsin and have a 1997 F250 HD 2 WD. Oh yeah I forgot diesel vs.gas. Mine is a 460 big block. I have a commercial divers license. I have every class and every endorsement. I drive 625 hp big diesels, I have hauled 100,000lb loads. Everyone here drives Ford pickups. We can tease each other but the bashing I think is uncalled for. I haul heavy loads, I drive real trucks. Try and help each other. The guy from Alaska that thinks 2wd is useless. Everyone has a truck for a job and I have not been stuck with my 2wd drive. I do not go 4x4 and I get around every winter. I think you guys have a great site just try and help each other. This is just my opinion. Thanx Scooter

Psychologically speaking, that (and things like it) is nothing more than someone's psychological weaknesses/defects manifesting in an unpleasant way.

Sadly, a small population of the world is like this. They, simply put, are "broken".

I like that. What part of Jersey are you from? I was born in Red Bank and I grew up in Toms River.

Thats going to happen from time to time , theres alot of different people on this forum that use there truck for different things , thats why ford makes them is so many body sizes and so many motor choices . For the most part we all get along fine , but the world is full of A-holes so ever once in a while we run into one on here like yesterday , ...Lew

Scooter,

Well put!

As for me, I drive a 2wd, 1/2 ton, long bed, 1989 F150. It hauls groceries once per week and a piece or two of lumber once a month from the hardware store! My DD is a "big" SUV! A 2009 Escape! I just put my flame suit on.

The only criticism that should be voiced is when folks do things that endanger life and limb of themselves or others. This may be called "political correctness", but "political correctness" is only being polite!

I have a 90 f-250 460 2wd I use to haul my 90 250 mud truck on a 18ft trailer to events all over S.E. Wisconsin. I love my 2wd truck and always will however the events I go to require parking in fields with hills with grass and dirt surfaces, I do get stuck alot. Many times I wish I could pull the 4x4 lever and crawl right out but no, either friends jump in the bed or i back up and try again faster! My 2wd will continue to be my hauling truck just like 80% of all the other guys that haul off road vehicles to events!

No BASHING here!!!! Sites great all the money I have saved the least I could do was donate to the site to help! Oh and hi form Port Washington

we had one on here yesterday? musta missed that alert or the posts...naturally I just dismiss any (most) A-hole post(s) or poster(s) but most of the time when im on here im finding useful info that truly is helping me fix my truck, I very rarely ask for help with things mainly because most of what I have experienced is either already here or close enough that the same fix works or my issues are the strange one off things that just blow my mind and I need a second opinion on the problem...but I agree we do get the occasional ***-hat person and usually they are dealt with accordingly...and yes I have saved money because of this site and for that im grateful! Oh and as for the whole bashing thing, I love my 4x4, its there when/if i need it, but most times its just in 2wd mode...granted I don't need its 4x4 but hey it came with the truck so yea its there...

This is what it should be like. I have to agree I LOVE the 300 (4.9). I'm a proud FORD owner. Be proud of what you have and help each other. I have learned a lot on this site. I have seen some really cool vehicles on here. Some are show and some daily drivers. I wish I could find a super clean F150 with a 4.9. I own a 1997 Ford F250 2wd,460,auto and a 3:55 rear (limited slip). My truck still looks new. I just posted this because I felt sick to my stomach with some of the bashing I was reading. We should all work together to keep the best trucks ever built running. No matter what model.

ah go figure....trolls...next order of business? oh but they pop up on any forum anyways so I kinda take no heed to them oh and to Scoot, I love your truck, and yes Ford trucks are the best by far...least out of all that ive driven, both foreign and domestic...my parents will swear that foreign is better but hey thats them, and I love when they got to call me up to borrow the truck to move things because there foreign (won't name names of the company car(s)) cant haul things or do as much as say one of our LB trucks...heck ill admit my truck is a little bit of a show boat type but its also my daily driver and I take care of it as i need to to keep it running

Just a guess, but I think there are a lot of kids on these sites and perhaps they engage in this kind of useless discussion? I'm not saying all young ones aren't thinking right but I would think the younger one is the more apt they are to make comments that are "immature".

i don't know about the two verses 4 wheel drive thing.
i love taking my crown vic out in the winter and driving through the same crap where big bad he-men types get their 4 wheel drives stuck.

it is all how you drive, not what you drive.
i own 6 4 wheel drive trucks, and plow with them.
when i plow i plow in 2 wheel drive. in 32 years of plowing, i may have put it in 4 wheel 3-4 times to get off ice. but as soon as i am moving again, it is rite back into 2 wheel drive.
in two wheel, i only use 1 gallon per hour plowing compared to the guys that plow in 4 wheel and use 2-3 gallons per hour.
