When I bought my bumper pull camper, the dealer I bought it from installed trailer brakes on my wife's Sequoia at no charge because my (then) company ride didn't have sufficient tow capacity. Now I've purchased this new (to me) '09 and need to have trailer brakes installed on it as well. Thankfully the wiring harness is in the glove box so other than the mount, it should be plug and play.
I guess my question is would it be better to go to a Ford dealership and let them install or would it be just as good, maybe even better to go to my RV dealer and let him do it. My RV guy already quoted me but I haven't got a quote from the dealer yet.

Any thoughts?
If you are just plugging in a brake controller, it almost seems like a waste of your time to take it anywhere. I am not sure between the two it makes much difference, or at least shouldn't.
Are you asking about installing a trailer brake controller? If so, I strongly recommend the Ford controller and it must be activated by a tech using the IDS software.
