I have a 302 with EFI from an 1986 E150.
I'm using the engine for another application and I have very little clearance between the hood of the jeep and the intake of the engine.
It does fit.
However,I have seen other intakes that are more low profile than the OEM intake from the van and I would have a little more room to spare if I can find one that fits.
Does anyone know what might be compatible?
The Mustang's look different but I dont have one to look at close so I could be wrong.
What about other cars from the mid 80's have a 5.0 L ?
I am not totally sure , and I've not tried it, but I wa reading in a mustang book about intake differences, and they mentioned the T-bird intake being a low-profile due to hood clearance (EFI type) this may be usefull, I hope. Good Luck.
P.S. I'd like to see/hear how the Jeep / Ford V-8 transplant works out, I considered it my self, but didn't follow through.
