I'm getting ready to order my DPF-R and a Diamond Eye downpipe back exhaust. Is there a noticeable difference between 5" and 4" performance wise? Which is better and why? This is my first diesel vehicle so bare with me when I ask some dumb questions. I searched around on the net and it seems most are going with 4", but couldn't really find a good reason for it.

5" is better in my opinion. Take a standard drinking straw and blow into it. Then cut it in half and blow again. Then in half again. Each time, it seems easier and less pressure while blowing. So the faster you can expel the exhaust gasses, the better off you are. So even though a DP is 4", going to a 5" DP back system will ultimately allow for cooler EGT's and less back pressure.
