This might seem like a stupid question, but does anyone know where the PCV valve is located on a 1989 F150 4.9l 6 cyl Ford truck?????? I have a fitting that goes into the valve cover that is stamped "Ford", but there is no place to fit a PCV valve. Any ideas?

Joel: On the 4.9 EFI Engine, the PCV valve is on the back end of the valve cover, under the back edge of the INTAKE maniofold. It's more of a blind job by feel, unless you're REALLY nimble and can get yer head back there enough to see it.
91 F150 4.9..found the pcv and it rattles, but there is a nozzle for a smaller hose and no hose attached..is that normal? my issue is I am getting oil in my breather compartment, enough that it leaks onto the wheel well and to the ground.. I replaced the foam filter in the breather compartment, and I replaced the "cap" that the garden sized hose attaches to. behind the "filler cap" ...under load( in gear) I get a rough idle..
Should I replace the PCV anyway even though it rattles loudly?
Is there a second vacuum hose? for the smaller nozzle?
My $400 4 year old (for me) f150 I bought from the original owner is annoying me....
I can put up with the squeaks, creaks and groans and appearance in public, but only if it acts like it runs good...and does not leak oil in weird places..believe me it has started conversations....
"hey Dude, why is your fender leaking oil?"
