gauge wiring ?

I am installing a trans temp gauage in a '99 F350 and I was wondering if there was an easy place to get to the 12 V ignitiion switched power and dash light power.

I was thinking the radio harness would be the easiest, does anyone have a better suggestion.

I picked up the dimmer power from the dimmer switch. And there is battery and ignition power in many places underthe dash. I picked up the 12v power at the plug connector that is right along the bottom of the steering collum.

I just tapped in to the fuse panel by using one of those piggy back terminals..(I think that is what they are called)
