Ok guys and gals, I know my cruise control is not working so I pulled a part that I hope is it, but im not sure, so can you all tell me what this thing is before I mess with it and all in the truck? if it helps this is located behind the glove box in the truck.
Please let me know if this solved your Cruise Control issue, as I have the same problem. Nothing on the steering wheel works. Horn, Crusie Control. I have the horn "mickey moused" to a button in the cab.

i will, but I want to say that if your horn isnt working that may possibly be related to something else, but i will post back so others will have this as a resource to use
I assume this will hoppefully resolve the issue of my ABS light switching on intermittently and ultimately my no cruise control situation?? if so YAY!
It will not. The cruise and the RABS are two independent systems. If your cruise isn't working and you have the ABS light coming on intermittently then it's either the VSS on the rear axle, the wiring to it, or the PSOM in the dash.

What year is your truck? Does your speedometer work? If everything is working but the horn and the cruise then you have a bad clockspring in your steering wheel.

its a 95 and horns were working, cruise stopped working months before my horns died, so I replaced the RABS and now cruise is working properly no more ABS light, now I just need to fix my horn...

Did the clock spring work for you? Was it tough to get at? Please?
I been kicking this dead horse for a while...My speedometer doesn't work, (only when it rains it does,) my rabs light is on and the brakes feel like an anvil once in a while. Changed rabs mod, vss in rear...talked nice to it, put a gun to it's dash, still devoted to her for it's the only issue we have.
ok just to update everyone on my horn/ABS not w0orking correctly, the RABS fixed the cruise/ABS light issue, I checked my horns and found that they had over 15 years of rust on them (the horns were literally rusted and the bracket was following suit, so I took a rotery tool to the bracket and cleaned it up, also used rust remover, and then installed brand new horns and the horns now are working correctly. so as far as MY specific situation I have successfully resolved the issue(s)
