There is a thread in here with photos of someone who did just that...

Not from the forum, but some pics I found:

Looks very nice. I'm partial to the white/black combination.

That looks great bro! I just did the exact same to my 05 X EB. I used a black satin finish and did the door handles as well. I went with some XD Spy wheels w/305 Nitto Grapplers. No lift. I had to bump in the front wheel wells a bit to get rid of the rub and it worked great. I also went w/the Harley front lights. I need to smoke out the tail lights but have not found a any I like yet. Any suggestions? I deleted the stock running boards and went with some Amp Power steps. I also went w/some "Powerstroke Diesel V8" emblems on the doors. I'm thinking about doing a black and red "FX4" graphic toward the rear - top quarter panels but I'm not sure yet.

As far as the interior goes, I'm just getting started on that. I'm thinking of some grayish/carbon fiber trim where the wood-grain is and leave it at that. I'm also going to go w/some "Powerstoke Diesel" floor mats in dark gray or black.

I got most of my ideas from a pic I go off the web. Google search "Ford Velosoraptor. It's concept SUV w/the same colors we went with. I really like the hood vents and like to do the same to my X but I haven't found a application that will work yet.

Good Luck and have fun.

I was about to create a new thread to ask this very same question, but then in the back of my mind I thought "someone has to have asked this before..." so I did a search, and found that someone did... Me!

Thinking of doing it to my v10 excursion now. I think the green/black combo with bumpers and grill guard would look pretty good. There's some concerning rust under the doors that I'm not sure how to fix, and I feel flex on the running boards that I never felt on my diesel. Also the rear barn doors have some real blemishes in them.

I like it. I might have to do that on mine. Then, I'd have to change the wheels, too....... Maybe I'll just get the stock wheels powder coated.

You know what they say though, "once you go black... you have to properly sand back down and prime again before changing to another color."
