Box is all installed with the marine deck filler. Wiring and plumbing is also complete. I took a page out of Snowking's book and ordered new gauges as well. They are wired to match my custom harness and awaiting final instal in the truck. All that's left to do now is swap oil sender and temp sender.

Also gonna make a roll pan with 39 Lincoln tailights

I`d like to check this out, my 56 M100 has the rear mounted Mustang gas tank but I want to try to figure out away of mounting the filler pipe above the rear bumper.

When ya mount a tank in the back like that, a guys options are pretty limited to the back bumper ish region, or like inside the box right? Anyone ever hear or see of anyone using the stock ish looking location?

with the stang tank the filler hole is almost right on top of the tank, it toward the back and it has a slight angle to it , maybe 25/30*. I think it would be quite difficult to make the bumper filler wor with out extensive mod to the tank and even with the mod you would never be able to fill the tank full. To make it work youd have to drop the tank like 4"

maybe better off finding a tank with the long filler neck out the side

so after some searching i finally found the 4 link i want for the merc. Lemme know what you think. The rear end is a trac loc 8.8" out of a 99 explorer with disc brakes and 31 spline axles

Sory to say you might as well ask me what I think of Mars mission I don't have the foggiest...... but did you order/recieve your Dolphins yet? I wanna see a pic of that bezel if ya did

ya i got them and they are installed already with everything working except the fuel guage isnt compatible with my stock cougar sender..... havent figured that one out yet

can you use the sender they sent you and use cougars float?

the problem i got is that the cougar sender is also the pickup and its all one piece

and i assume you've tried just wiring it up as is? using exsiting cougar sender and dolphin gauge

yes thats how its set up right now except im chasing fuel demons , i think my fuel pump diaphram dried up over winter and its not sucking fuel

ive also have gotten word that my correct parts are on their way for the ball joint conv on the merc as well as that 4 link i posted and the airbag control system should be on its way next week as well

hmmm well there goes my idea for sender prob best of luck. Yeak I got sick of sediment bowls and old style diaphrams, I got a electric unit in my 49, since your on 12volt i suggest as well. it was like 50-60 bucks at napa.... just say you work for united rentals
