I have used cetane booster in just about every fill up and I havent had any injector issues. 15-40 delo in everything i have driven since I got my license just recently bought a case of motorcraft 15-40 to try out.
My father always swore by delo in the old days but I have read allot of things have changed with oil since then. It was a local farmers favorite for equipment back in the hay day.
I put two 16 oz. cans of Seafoam in my oil when I change it every 10,000 to 12,000 miles. About a 100 miles before I change it, I add another 16 oz. can. I also use Seafoam in my fuel. I put a 16 oz can in when I fill up with fuel. Been doing this since '05 and for 103,000 miles while using Royal Purple 20W-50 synthetic motor oil year around. Have the original turbo, injectors and HPOP in the motor and as you can see in my sig I have mdified my 6.0L a lot. Also I ran the Juice with Attitude tuner (according to most the worst tuner for a 6.0L) up to around 60,000 miles and now have the SCT X3 tunner with Eric's custom street, tow and economy tunes. I also have had RP synthetic ATF in the TS since 60,000 miles and have no TS issues. Shifts like the day it was new. I don't drive it hard and it has never seen WOT but I like the power when I need it.
You do realize that all of that seafoam is doing is diluting your expensive 20w-50 down to roughly 10w-30 (+ - ). You can acomplish the same thing ,for much cheaper I might add, switching to a 5w-40 or a 10w-30.
Quite honestly I have never heard of any good results adding alcohol to diesel oil, but to each his own.

This is very true. Seafoam is primarily used on gas engines prior to oil change.
I doubt adding 32 oz. of Seafoam to 464 oz. of motor oil will dilute the oil from 20W-50 to 10W-30.
Also if you Google "flow testing injectors with Seafoam" you can read how a large number of shops use a 50/50 mixture of diesel fuel and Seafoam to flow test injectors.
I have used Seafoam for 30 years in farm equipment, boats, trucks, cars, lawnmowers, chainsaws, etc. If it is an internal combustion engine I own, it has Seafoam in it. I have never had a problem attributed to Seafoam.
Finally, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Why would I try something new when Seafoam and Royal Purple synthetic motor oil got me through 103,000 miles on my X without a turbo, fuel injector or HPOP problem or failure. From what I read on this site there are not a lot of 6.0L owners that can make that claim.

DSMMH
I am one of the ones that can make that claim, two 6.0's combined almost 300,000 mi. over the last eight years with none of the issues you mentioned. I have never used seafoam, or for that matter any oil additive in any diesel I own. But as I said above to each his own.
Seafoam has a significant amount of alcohol in it. Personally I wouldn't use it in motor oil, but I doubt it's doing any good nor harm.
In fuel is another story. Alcohol absorbs water and allows water to bypass the water separator and go through the injectors. Get seafoam in the tank and too much water from a bad fill up and kiss your injectors goodbye. The water seperator is there for a reason.
I too have used SeaFoam in my fuel AND oil..... but only when I had a striction issue. A one time use cleared the problem. I do have a can on the shelf in case tho...... Wouldn't hesitate to use it again.
Have also used it in my '97 Lincoln to clean out the intake system..... WOW, what a cloud it made. Again, only had to use it the once and at 150,000 miles, runs great. That quad cam, 32v Lincoln is one he[[ of a grandpa car!
I have heard a lot of great things about Rev-X, but I noticed in FICM.com they have products also. Do these compare with Rev-X?

Do you guys keep 5W40 in the summer months? Well, summer, i mean above say 60 F. I use Rotella 0W40 in winter. I am going to Florida in Feb., can I keep 0W40 in for the trip?

When are you due for an oil change? That would be the factor.
Odds are, you will be at an oil change by the time you get there, then How long are you going to be there and when are you returning north? Timing could have you back up north and ready for an oil change back to 0w-40!
My initial concern with 5W-40 was the shearing of the additive package.
If I understand it correctly, you start with a base weight oil, and add viscosity enhancers that bring it up to a 40 weight oil when it's hot. So 15W-40 is a 15 weight base oil with enough viscosity enhancers to bring it up to 40 weight when hot. 5W-50 is a 5 weight base oil with more viscosity enhancers, and 0W-40 is a 0 weight oil with yet even more viscosity enhancers.
Now, we hear that the High Pressure Oil Pump in the 6.0L is hard on the oil and shears out the additive package. Exactly how much over 5000 miles I don't know. I don't think I've seen it quantified. But, let's say for the sake of discussion that in 5000 miles the engine shears out 50% of the additives. Of course there is more to the additives than just viscosity enhancers, but for the sake of this post they are what we are concerned with.
Using our theoretical 50% and assuming the additive effect is linear, 25 of the 40 weight in 15W-40 is additive (40-15=25). If half of the additive shears out (25/2=12.5) then you are left with 15W-27.5 at the end of the 5000 miles. 27.5 being the base 15 plus the remaining 12.5 of additive.
35 of the 40W in 5W-40 oil is additive, so after 5000 miles you are left with 5W-22.5 (35/2=17.5+5=22.5).
And, 40 of the 0W-40 is additive, so after 5000 miles you are left with 0W-20.
Now, this could all be speculative BS for all I know. The only way to really know would be to take all of the different weights and types of oil, run them in a test engine for an equivalent of 5000 miles and do an oil analysis on them. I've seen a number of oil analysis, but I've never seen viscosity of used oil in terms of "weight". Usually some other number that measures viscosity.
You will be fine running a 0w-40 year around. It shouldn't shear the viscosity any lower than a mid to low 30 wt. I know all of the literature I have read on 0w-40 advertises it can be used all temps, but its most beneficial in extreme cold temps.
