upper radiator hose is where I would start....or the egr coolers where the upper and lower connect.

Coolers you can see thru the wheel well.

Upper radiator hose use a flashlight.

You are looking for white splatter.

Could it be that your fuel cooler puked out the overflow hose?

Another thought - I had a hydro bost line leaking very slowly in the same area. It put residue in the same areas as described. Around $600 to replace pump and lines - good thing I had an extended warranty. Good luck.

searched and searched- i was not able to pin point. under hood seems to be oil residue on driver backside of valve cover and brackets on this side of motor. oil leak maybe?
stopped by dealer yesterday- mech looked at it quick (2 min) and said huh..... maybe the turbo gasket, i said how bad is that to fix? his response was i dont know never done one yet damn u shaped gasket....... it will likely been in for service and investigation soon.

i did notice yesterday that the anti freeze level was BELOW the tube level below low-- it was fine on sunday between add and full.

truck recently had cab off repair for exhaust leak- during that time had a new turbo installed and a radiator and hoses.......

You are loosing it out somewhere it sounds. Check often it will eventually turn up.

How is your tailpipe? Any moisture there?

should the check be made at operating temps or anytime?

what are your thoughts on the wet frame rail?

i had the exact wet frame rail you talk of.

I mentioned it when my truck was in for a list of little things, so unfortuneately i don't know what fixed it, but the upper rad hose was fixed at that time, so a very likely culprit.

I'd check it during operation after everything is up to operating temps and you have driven it some.

Check it at shutdown too. If you smell something sweet then maybe a EGR cooler is the issue.

It really seems to me that you have a hose or something leaking though.

ok- nothing out of taile pipe after a 45 min drive last night or this morning no moisture at all, it does smell a little but i think its just the exhaust smell?

i filled the coolant to top of cold fill before leaving yesterday (truck sat for 9 hours prior to filling)- i get home and check and it is now above the fill right at the closed nipple height.

looks to have oild residue around side of turbo. i now have a couple spots on the driveshaft and wire bundle on top of framerail, but i wiped the frame down and nothing on it from to trips yet.....

i took some photos i will now research how to load....
feeling bad today so bear with me......

that defiantly seems like oil more than any other maybe fuel, how does it taste?
the spray pattern is more like it was misted from the front of the engine to the back an oil leak is more of a stream but i'm not ruling it out yet what is your oil level i once saw this on a duramax at work fuel leak inside the engine displacing the oil and pushing oil fuel mix out each orifice
