aluminium vs stainless
Aside from the cosmetic differences, what if any, differences are there between aluminum and stainless exhaust systems. The stainless is almost twice the price. Will a aluminum system need to be replaced down the road. I would rather save the money if I can expect the same results from the aluminum system. Any thoughts on this?

Pretty much the only difference is that the stainless system wont rust out on you! I currently have a complete stainless system on my bronco, and I probably will never go back to aluminzed. Most aluminized systems will last you 3 years or so (my stainless has a lifetime guarantee). As for performance, they should yeild the same results because none of the actual parameters of the tubing changes.

Does anybody know of a complete 4" stainless system? I looked at the bank moster exhaust and the downpipe is only 3.5". Is there a stainless exhaust with a 4" downpipe? Thanks for any input.

I dont know of any major brands advertising a 4" system. For something like that, youre best bet is to go to your local speed shop or exhaust specialists and have them make one. We have a shop a couple towns over from where I am and they put a 6" SS system on a D*dge Cummins. Its very trick.

Yes stainless is far superior in reguard to resistance to heat and corrosion. And stainless tube is available in many sizes up to around ten inch or larger, tractors use six inch easy. there was a website texasexhuast or texisexhuast or something like that that sold the tube, elbows and couplers I think.
