I just put a 2012 bed on my 2003 and want to get some decent mud flaps. I want ones that will protect the lower rear of the bed behind the wheel wells, so extra wide would be good.
Should I DIY or does anybody have a good recommendation?
I've put the stock Ford OEM flaps all around on mine and I don't seem to catch a lot of crud in that area of the bed since they've been installed. The bonus was not having to scrape the crud off of the running boards too!

Thank you, I'd like to keep her clean if I could! I might just get a set of generic flaps and bolt them on. I'd like a +12" wide set with a FORD emblem though...or a Powerstoke badge...
I just bought the 14 inch wide front and rear Duraflap's. the front fit beautiful with no problems, the rears on the other hand didn't. the holes were about 3/4 of an inch too far out plus the bottom hole was an 1" too low to even line up. Since i wanted them a little tighter inwards i simply drilled new holes and mounted them were i wanted them. Ifi knew thisi would have saved 12 dollars and bought the undrilled ones and drilled my own holes the first time instead of having three extra holes now that mud leaks through!
yea i bought the 14" wide no weight ones to keep the cost down, but i wish i bought the no drilled rears because of the problem i had with the holes not being right. But i might cut some aluminum and just polish it and make my own weights for free maybe...
I just put on the 14" wide Duraflaps with weights and they are great. I had the OEM molded flaps and they were ok, but with my 325's they didn't protect a whole lot. Duraflaps are expensive, but worth it IMO.
no you dont need the weights at all, the flaps are a hard rubber almost plastic and they dont move. Im actually worried if i get stuck hunting they wont bend and they might bend the fenders instead
