I posted a question a few days ago about a bouncing speedo on a 94 Ranger. I have it fixed. I found out after tearing the dash apart a few times that it generally is the bearings in the speedo head that go bad. You have a few options. Go to Ford and pay $750. Send to a repair shop and pay $230 or do as I did and go to a junkyard and pay $40. It isn't to bad to replace. They give you the whole guage cluster. Just wanted to relay my experience for anyone having a similar problem
