Need some recommendations
New kid on the block here.
Need some advise/recommendations on where to purchase some upgrades for my 2009 F-350 diesel Lariat.
Let me just make a little list.
1. Deer guard: opps brush guard. Nothing to extravagant but I have been having problems finding anything decent for my year of truck on the internet.
2. Headache rack: Again the same problem I cant seem to find a good selection of back racks for my year of truck. I don't want back racks that have the louvers, or the cheap wire mess type.
3. Performance chip: I am looking to increase my gas mileage mostly but a little more HP and torque wouldn't hurt either.
4. Off-Road lights: Either mounted on the deer guard or a bar on the cab roof.
5. Marker lights: The type that mount on the cab roof.
That's it for now, any input would be much appreciated.

250lb's of steel and that pipe is 1/4 inch thick, definitely show that deer who's boss.

4. Off-Road lights: Either mounted on the deer guard or a bar on the cab roof. KC Slimlights (I had 4 on my 2000, loved them)
5. Marker lights: The type that mount on the cab roof. I've heard Recon has some nice kits with lens/light options.

Most "brush guards" you see are just made for looks and maybe a place to mount some lights. They offer very little in the way of protection and can sometimes do more damage than they prevent.

I know they make custom stuff, I don't know if they'd make a single headache rack but you could try. There are probably hundreds of welding or fleet shops in Texas that would make exactly what you ask for, or try talking to an upfitter or local trailer manufacturer that makes flat beds; I've made a rack and I've bought one cheap off of craigslist, but I've never seen a major name brand make a rack that I like.

Ranch hand makes nice bumpers that are grille guards too and those will protect ur truck. a normal grille guard will protect from a deer, but not much more than that.
are u gonna go offroading with this or do u just want the extra lights for better lighting or for looks?
i have seen aluminum headache racks around on trucks. i think Back Rack makes them, but im in WI.
i would also recommend getting gauges. the h&S, spartan, and sct have them with the tuner. with the banks, u need the IQ. i like the other ones better cause u can dpf delete it.

Thanks everybody for the valuable input.
As much as I would like to I don't think I will go with the bumper replacement at this time but it looks like Ranch Hand has some decent products. I like the grill guard winch ready, and they also have a nice back rack as well.
Still researching the cab roof marker lights. My truck didn't come with them so it will be a mod.
I do want functional Off Road lights. I didn't by this truck to go parading around town in, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, hunt, fish, camping, off roading and of course it will be used as a everyday work vehicle. KC slim lights look like a good product.
The performance programming looks to be something I will have to research thoroughly as my truck is still under warranty.
Again thanks for all the great suggestions.
