Anybody do the whole exterior of the X with that stuff? I'm seriously considering it with the rock salt here in Ohio just seems like the stuff would hold up longer if it was out on a well prepped body. If so how hard to DIY or what was the cost if had it done???
I've seen a few images online that I liked so I saved them...this also seems to be trend around here in SoCal at offroad shows, I like it and will be considering it once I need paint to repaint.
At the lumber mill where I worked when I was in hight school, every panel on all of the fork lifts, (the really big ones that pick up the logs, were painted inside and out with bed liner line-x type material.
I had a dark grey K2500 Chevy crew cab that I had sprayed with bed liner material from the lower body molding down to the bottom of the chassis. It looked good up close, and was hardly noticable from across the parking lot. If I still had my old 1975 Bronco or 1973 FJ-40 land cruiser, I would consider taking it apart piece by piece and spraying every square inch, inside and out.
The DIY products I've used - herculiner, duplicolor, durabac - all had miserable UV tolerance and did not look good after a short time. I did the floors in my 4runner over 10yrs ago with Duplicolor bedliner and it has done well - with limited exposure to direct sunlight.

Have you ever tried monstaliner? It's sposed to hold up better.
I have wanted to do this since I bought my Ex, a local place does Ameraguard, have talked to them a few times but cant get a decent estimate. I am going to be pulling my cladding off this spring, if there is rust I think Im going to start the process.
My buddy had line x on his Ex an loved it never had any issues with fading, or scratching but I noticed some rust coming thru, so I would prep it first I'm thinking about using POR 15 around the wheel well an door bottoms an then using line x
