Break/gas pedal question

Ok, got an oddity here, I like to sit with the bench all the way back and since im kinda short it is a little hard to get to the break and gas (guess its a good thing as I can't floor board it any more) but im wanting to know other then custom pedals is there a way to move the gas and break pedals closer to me with out any modifications, say loosen a screw and readjust the pedals so they sit closer to the bench? so I can reach them better, but also not do any mods to them...and im talking in the way that some newer cars have the power adjust pedals that move forward or back to adjust for the drivers size...

You will have to move the seat or you could duct tape some hunks of 2x4 to the pedals..

BTW you have a BRAKE pedal, a brake slows or stops something.. Breaking is making two or more pieces out of one!!!

Nope!!! Not without rebuilding the truck!!

Just slide the d*** seat forward until you can reach the pedals like EVERYONE else does!!!!!

Oh. J. C. Whitney USED to have pedal extenders listed in their catalog, they were just clamped to the pedals, and if I remember correctly these were aimed at short little old ladies....

Short of cutting the pedals off extending them rearward I don't see an easier way (other then hose clamps/wood blocks). The pedals and column are mounted on a bracket would need relocate the whole ball of wax move the pedals back, not a easy or pretty task.

I agree, makes more sense just move seat forward couple inches or so. Before spending time cutting/welding pedal arm extensions in I'd put in a nice set of power seat/s instead leave the pedals where they are (if didn't already have em that is).

well I do move the d***ed seat forward, i was thinking more to minimize track wear due to the constant readjusting of the seat (multiple drivers that are different sizes) but thanks...I have no issue moving the seat but I was just curious and figured i would ask...you know what they say you won't know if you don't ask, and if you never ask you never learn...so yea thanks...

Any way you go, pedals or seat you will always be adjusting either the pedals or the seat, because every other user has different preferences, so you'll gain nothing by modifying your pedals. It was a joke by someone else, but maybe using thick sole boots you would be able to reach the pedals with no problems.

Yea I already have a pair (work boots) so I use them, partly why I sit all the way back, so they catch the pedals properly and don't get caught up on them when im driving, but hey its good

When i was a kid my bus driver Mrs Hough, was really short (She probably still is). They put aluminium blocks on the pedals so she could reach them.. a good 3" thick by my recolection. (That was in like 1978 or so!)

There are kits available....FOr a mere $200 for the wooden trim...

As for the pedal, etc issue....

Jaime.....Sliding that seat back and forth, is NOT gonna wear anything out....If you're that worried about wear...get some White Lithium Spray....

Jeez....

ok, and what do you think of the "carid" site? any good, im looking at stuff there, naimly there custom steering wheel options to do a custom steering wheel with wood pieces and all...oh and thanks for the link Wes

here is the link for ya Wes http://www.carid.com/1995-ford-f-150...tem-93060.html

only thing im not liking is the fact they don't have walnut wood as an option so I could order the kit from that link you gave me then have my wheel done with walnut to match

here ya are wes, is this the site you were talkin about? http://www.trimstop.com/dash_kit_search.htm
