In a way, they were.
Anyone that's a bass fisherman knows who Ray Scott is. He is to bass fishing what Bill France is to the Daytona Speedway and NASCAR.
The second name on the list is Jack Wingate. He owned the lodge and "marina" on Lake Seminole until he passed away about a year ago. He was a character! Oddly, Tom Mann had his facility on Lake Eufala, but Jack never got into the commercial end.
The background picture is the restaurant at Jack's facility.

I couldn't handle the dominance. This type of authority is only designed for certain people. I couldn't cut it, and I knew it. Folks, this truck is an alpha-roll on wheels. (Everytime I would hit the throttle the radio would blare...."THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!"
