I am sooooooooo sick of working on $h!+.................
Needed to replace the flex hose on one side of the van and of course the hard line was seized to the nut, twisting it while trying to remove it. Tried to flare a new end on it and broke the stem of the flare tool off in the line.......... Removed line and it is super heavy duty line and has a different flare at the top. UGHHHHHHHHHHH.........
Going to call around tomorrow and see if I can find a new hard line at a dealer somewhere....
I feel your pain! Sounds like working on my vehicles. Absolute crap.
Afternoon everyone! I don't really want to be at work today. I guess that is what i get for coming in on a Monday. ugh.
Got the truck started last night when I got home. It didn't want to start with out a boost but it started. Charged it for a while last night but didn't want to start this morning. Now that it snowing and raining I'll charge it overnight and see. I'm going to stop at Oreilly andsee if they have a set of Motorcraft GPsnin stock. I know a few are out. May as well do the rest of them too. That ought to help. Block heater needs help but I'm not ready to do that as I have to drain the block. What a pain ...
Actually, you will probably be surprised how much coolant you don't lose replacing a block heater. Keep the radiator cap on and sealed and get ready with the new heater. Remove the old one and install the new one. You shouldn't lose a ton of coolant.

Hey Michael! Good luck getting the glow plugs. Glad it at least started for you.

It's not so much the amount of coolant as the mess it will make.
It really isn't that bad. Make the swap quick and you don't loose much because the system is sealed. It has to suck in the air to replace the coolant through the same hole.
Ugh. That was sooooo boring having to be available all that time. Don't get me wrong I had no problem taking care of Lynn but I wasn't comfortable leaving and doing errands just in case. Or hanging out in the garage even. Only so much reading and daytime TV a person can take.
Well there is a plug that you have to remove on the transmission on the HHR and then pour fluid in until it comes out the hole. Let it stop draining out the hole and then that is it. Effin GM...

Yep, that's how mine is... I guess Ford did this back in the day too...or maybe it was just for manuals back then. Who knows!
Happy Monday everyone!
***oops, wrong quote of Chris's. No tranny dipstick for mine, filler hole is full when it leaks out of it.
