We're using electric now, but have plans to install propane heat this fall. That will allow us to use my stand-by genset for most of our needs should the power go out during the winter.

Yes, we have a local propane co that delivers out here. I just bought a 200 gallon tank, and the furnace is on order and should be here in a couple of weeks.

Morning guys, my outside temp gauge says it's 38* outside, but it is still 74* inside. This is a Super good sense home, good insulation, 6" outside walls and double pane windows. Plus the heat pump has cut our heating and A/C bills way down.

If your asking me, then yes! When we bought the house it had a forced air oil furnace. We removed all of it, and will be installing all new insulated duct work under the house.
