Congrats Micah on the boy, I had 2 boys, no girls, but ended up with 11 grand kids. The grand kids were much more fun, should of had them first.....

Good evening Oregon. A bit breezy here at times, but otherwise a nice day.

A bit breezy?..........Yes, and record lows for tonight, followed by mid 80s by weekend.
Memorial day weekend is coming soon...........be prepared for a last blast of crappy weather guaranteed on that weekend.

Highest gust in the back yard today was 28 MPH.

No biggy for memorial day weekend. Family reunion, cemetary association meeting and way the heck to many people to think about going camping or fishing.

All depth 'but fishing is a no go for tomorrow. Got to go get a tooth fixed, I think I would rather be shot..................Wx forcast isn't good anyway- small craft warnings, high wind and waves. 30 min ago it was blowing at 22kts on the south jetty and Stonewall was showing 11.5' waves on 7.5 sec centers. Not too bad I guess, if you are in an aircraft carrier. Forecast isn't really looking too good through the weekend.

Sounds like a good headwind to get a heavy B-52 or a loaded C-141 into the blue........

Fishing on the salt in a smallish boat?.........not so much.

My 20 footer was made to handle "bigger" water, but not that big. Its owner wasn't made for anything over 4' to 5' on 8 second centers. We've been "caught" out there when it turned sour in a big hurry, and it handled it real well. Doesn't make me want to go out "looking" for it though. I have no desire to try out a USCG hoist into their helo. (If I survived the hypothermia!) I got hoisted out of the water several times in training in the Navy as well as off land on a jungle penetrator both in the Navy and again in the National Guard. While it was fun, it was training and I was a heck of lot younger then.

Besides the fact that the fishing is not any fun in that kind of water.

Morning everybody! Beautiful day here in the desert! Parts came in last night for the pumping station. 2 new 5hp motors, and one complete new pump! Today I'll do the install and we'll be back on track. Owners are VERY happy that I'm doing it, but the local plumbers aren't happy about it.......................lol

Gotta love it: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...5&lon=-120.158

Morning Pat! It's the well and pumping station for the radar base, and all the homes up here. We had two boost pumps that failed and were in danger of losing water to everybody. I found the problem and will have everything back to normal today.......
