Do you have any plans for heat in it?

You do what you have to do. At least it's paved now so I'm not on gravel.

Basically, just trying to get the part from Prineville to me.
What is it? If I can get it in my Taurus trunk I can get it to Portland.

No disrespect intended, I guess every man needs a garage or shop or driveway to recover in or hide & be creative.............

I really will have a refuge. The only two suitable places to put a shop on my property are about 400' away from the house.

The cheaper place would be along my driveway right beside the county road. I'm not keen on the idea of having the shop where someone could clean it out and I'd never see them.

The other option is in pasture land down hill from the house. It would require new road, drainage mitigation and running power there.

We've got a propane heater in it for now. Might go wood stove later.

It's a tracbar for my front axle. Like the size of a baseball bat. I'll just wait till my friend in Bend can bring it over here. I'd rather not make a trip up to Portland if I don't have to...

No problem, but if you need the part moved to Bend, my wife will be working over there on Wednesday of next week.

Gravel separates the men from the boys!(unless you are in downtown eugene where it requires a crowbar).............Throw in some rain dripping on you while trying to work in the winter or ants all over you during the summer, make sure it dark too so you need to hold a mini-mag lite in your teeth to see what you are doing. Working on gravel outside in the cold/rain, shows your dedication level!

Good for you, Evan...........Can I come over and pull my B2 motor?

I've got access to a cherry picker, I could help you pull it sometime.

I had some fun experiences in my younger days, like doing a engine swap on my Jeep J10 pickup by myself in the gravel/mud. I installed the engine with a cherry picker and then installed the TH400 auto trans by myself without a floor jack! Just layed on my back with the trans on my chest and hefted it up there, then blindly felt around for a bellhousing bolt to slide in and get is started.

Never doing THAT again...

I might take you up on that. I've still got your number so I might pass it on to the guy with the part so you two can work out a time and place to pass it on. If that's ok with you anyways...

Good evening everyone. Ducks hiding and not flying today.

A lot of vehicle work gets done in my driveway, but I've kind of gone "fair weather". Dad's shop out on the farm is only 7 miles away.
